Wedding Venues and locations in Norfolk

Red-Lion-Hotel-Cromer

Norfolk has some unique wedding venues that offer stunning photographic possibilities. I always visit new venues just to get a feel of the place, however, no wedding assignment is ever the same.

Improvisation is a key ingredient for me and quite often some of my best shots are unplanned. I have compiled some photographs featuring recent venues I’ve covered. I will be adding to the list over the coming Months.

Brook Hotel, 2 Barnard Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR5 9JB

Close to the Norfolk show ground, Best Western Brook Hotel is a modern 3-star hotel, easily accessible from the A47. It offers WiFi access and free on-site parking. It’s licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, surrounding gardens were ideal for the group wedding shots and there were brilliant areas inside the building also.

Pentney Abbey, Abbey Road, Pentney, Norfolk, PE32 1JT

Pentney Abbey oozes centuries of history, absolutely magical for weddings, With a spectacular exterior, Medieval Banqueting Hall, Marquee site, 35 acres of private grounds, bridal suite and additional guest accommodation. I featured the Augustinian gatehouse a lot in my pictures.

Civil ceremonies at North Lodge in Cromer, Norfolk

North Lodge is Ideal for weddings and Renewal of Vows. The Council Chamber at North Lodge Park has fine views of the sea and the gardens provide a perfect setting for photographs. If the bride and groom feel adventurous the beach is within walking distance.

The Old Rectory Hotel, North Walsham Road, Crostwick, Norwich, Norfolk, NR12 7BG

The Old Rectory is a great venue with some fantastic photo opportunities, It also caters for civil ceremonies and weddings. The scenic gardens are beautiful for family picture. The experienced wedding co-ordinator was at hand to ensure everything ran smoothly and I loved the large conservatory, plenty of light to assist with natural shots.

Constantia Cottage Restaurant, East Runton, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9NX

I just had to include this one because, I confess, my family own it. We’ve worked here for over 36 years so inevitably, I’ve photographed a few weddings at the Constantia. We don’t do civil ceremonies so they have to take place elsewhere. The sea is only a few yards away.

The Red Lion Hotel, Brook street, Cromer, NR27 9HD

The Red Lion overlooks breathtaking beaches and Cromer’s Famous Pier, so there are plenty of photographic choices. I’ve done a couple of weddings here and the staff are always accommodating and the building has a great atmosphere.

The Links Country Park Hotel and Golf Club, West Runton, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9QH

The Links Country Park Hotel has a specially designed Runton Suite for civil ceremonies, after ceremony celebrations, imaginative food and friendly service the beautiful coastal parkland setting is a fantastic backdrop for wedding photographs.

The Roman Camp Inn, Holt Road, Aylmerton, Norfolk, NR11 8QD

Excellent opportunity to photograph wedding guests strolling under the pergola with a glass of champagne. Superb gardens to capture the bride and groom for those romantic poses with the option of using surrounding scenic beauty.
